  11. I use the Cardinal 2881(version 1.4 firmware) to connect to my ISP who uses 
  12. USR modems.  When I set the modem string to connect with V.34, I always get a 
  13. 28.8 connection, but the line quality is in the upper 30's to low 50's and my 
  14. download speed (as measured with netscape download) often goes down to as low 
  15. as 2.0 K/sec.  When I set the modem to connect with V.FC, I almost always 
  16. connect at 24.0 (sometimes at 26.4).  The same downloads usually go down to 
  17. 2.5 K/sec., while the line quality is much better - in the teens.  I've tried 
  18. various Trumpet Winsock settings and modem string adjustments, but this is the 
  19. best I have been able to achieve.  Any ideas on how to either increase the 
  20. V.FC connect speed or the line quality and download speed for the V.34 
  21. connection  would be greatly appreciated.
